About Nurasol

A shadow work platform built on a simple belief. The parts of you that have been hidden are not broken. They are waiting.

The platform

Not a quick fix. Not a performance.
Just the work.

Nurasol is a shadow work and somatic healing platform. It exists for people who are ready to stop managing their emotions and start understanding them. People who have tried the surface-level approaches and know that something deeper is being asked of them.

Shadow work is the practice of meeting the parts of yourself that have been pushed into the dark. The emotions you were told were too much. The patterns you cannot seem to break. The version of yourself that learned to hide in order to stay safe.

Nurasol is not therapy. It is not a diagnosis or a clinical treatment. It is a structured, somatic, self-directed path for people ready to do the inner work at their own pace.

The name

Two words. Two languages.
One meaning.

The name carries everything this platform is built on. Grief and love. Loss and becoming. The seed and the light.

Nura Arabic · نور Inner light

Nura was my aunt's name. She was the kind of woman whose love you felt before she said anything. Quiet, generous, present in a way that most people spend a lifetime trying to learn. When she passed in 2016, she left a space in me I did not have language for yet. She planted the seed of this work without knowing that was what she was doing.

sol Spanish · Latin Sun

Nurasol is the name I would give my daughter, God willing. The full name. Both words together. It carries the energy of her even before she exists, the light I am walking toward, the woman I am becoming as I step into love, into partnership, into a life I am finally allowing myself to build. The name holds my aunt and my daughter in the same breath. The grief that started everything and the sun waiting on the other side of it.

The shadow exists because the light does too. That is what Nurasol is named for.

The origin

The grief that started everything.
And what grew from it.

I had just finished my PhD in 2016 and was supposed to be celebrating. Instead I was sitting in two places at once, grief on one side because the woman who was a second mother to me was dying, accomplishment on the other, holding both without knowing how. That was when the shadow work began. Not because I sought it out. Because life dropped me into it.

What followed was not linear. But it was consistent. I moved back home to ground myself. I fell into my deepest depression and came out of it writing. I opened a yoga studio and built it from nothing, because movement was how I processed what words could not hold.

I created international retreats because I had learned that healing happens differently when you leave your ordinary life behind. I ran group containers, programs, workshops, and held space for people going through the same territory I had already walked. I worked one on one. I wrote. I kept going back to Peru, to my shadow work mentor, to go deeper into my own material. I have been doing this work, in my own life and in community, for almost a decade.

The losses continued alongside all of it. Grief kept sitting beside me, sometimes quietly, sometimes so close I could barely move. And through every season of it I kept learning what it actually takes to move through something rather than around it. That learning became a framework. The framework became Nurasol.

Awareness is not healing. Understanding why you do something does not stop you from doing it. What most people are missing is not the experience. It is the integration.

Healing requires more than knowing. It requires meeting the wound in the body, in community, with structure, with practice, over time. It requires moving through it, not just understanding it. That is what Nurasol is built to do. Not to teach you about your shadows. To help you actually move through them.

The methodology

The Nurasol Framework

The Nurasol Framework draws on Jungian shadow theory, somatic healing, and yoga therapy to create a structured five-stage path through each shadow emotion. At its core is a simple truth that shadow work has always pointed toward. Every difficult emotion carries two sides.

The wound

What happens when a shadow emotion goes unmet

Pain, patterns, and protection that once served you but may no longer. The part that hides, rages, collapses, or performs.

The gift

What becomes available when the shadow is met with understanding

Boundaries, authenticity, love, courage, integrity. The power that was always inside the difficult feeling.

Understanding that every shadow has both sides gives you something most approaches do not. Choice. When an emotion arises you are no longer at its mercy. You understand what it is carrying. You know the path through it.

The Nurasol Framework structures that journey into five clear stages.

01 Meet It 02 Find It in the Body 03 Hear It 04 Move It 05 Integrate It

Each stage builds on the last. Each path ends with the gift the shadow was always carrying.
